Objectives
About this course:
Clinical Applications (PHRM 3850) is
designed to give the student exposure to clinical diseases and management
(nonpharmacological and pharmacological) through patient case presentations
(interviews).
Course Objectives:
For each patient presentation, students
should be able to identify and understand the following:

Signs/symptoms that the patient describes
(or exhibits) and its relationship to his/her disease (condition).
-
Pathophysiology of the disease(s).
-
Incidence of the disease(s).
-
Etiology of patient's disease(s).
-
Clinical diagnosis of the disease(s).
-
The role of nonpharmacological intervention
in managing the disease(s).
-
The role of pharmacological agents in
managing the disease(s).
-
Association of disease(s) and patient
specific data obtained from patient presentation.
