--------The Nontraditional Doctor of
Pharmacy Pathway Program--------
Tuition, Fees & Financial Aid
Tuition & Fees
As of Fall 2004, the tuition and fee schedule was $300/semester hour plus
$75/semester technology fee. Therefore, tuition and fees for the entire course of
study (54 hours) is estimated at $16,500-17,500 depending on the number of semesters of
enrollment. Additional fees may apply (e.g., library fees). Other costs such as textbooks,
videotapes, telephone, postage, Internet access, personal travel and lodging are not
included in the tuition costs.
The Nontraditional Doctor of Pharmacy Pathway Program receives no state
or university appropriations and must be self-supporting; therefore, tuition is subject
to change based on expenses needed to run the program.
The program is
administered in conjunction with the Office of Continuing Education and Professional
Affairs, Mercer University Southern School of
Pharmacy and the Office of Postgraduate Continuing Education and Outreach, The University of Georgia College of Pharmacy.
UGA STUDENTS: Students
attending the University of Georgia must meet University System of Georgia
residency requirements to qualify for instate tuition rates. See
http://www.reg.uga.edu/or.nsf/html/residency for more information on
UGA's Residency Requirements. In addition,
tuition remission may not be used for this
program by University System employees.
Financial Aid
It is likely that the income of most working pharmacists would make you
ineligible for subsidized student loans, but you may be eligible for unsubsidized Stafford/Federal
Direct Loans. These loans require that interest be paid while you are in school. If
you are interested in receiving information on financial aid options, please contact one
of the below offices directly. Please note: You must be accepted and enrolled
at the institution to which you applied to be eligible.
