(Note:  See application deadline & materials page for application packet and submission deadlines.)

Specific admissions requirements include:

  1. A nonrefundable application fee of $100.00.

  2. A practicing pharmacist for at least 3 years in the U.S., who holds a valid Georgia pharmacy license, and is in good standing with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy.

  3. Access to a current active practice site in Georgia while enrolled in the program.

  4. Agreement from an authorized official to use the practice site as an educational training ground for pursuing the Pharm.D.

  5. Daily access to computer with required specifications.

  6. Working knowledge of required computer hardware & software.
(Note:  Inability to operate basic listed software will jeopardize admission or progression in the program.)

  7. Competence in the prerequisite areas.

  8. Development of an initial portfolio.

Application materials and initial portfolios will be evaluated by an admissions committee comprised of Mercer and UGA faculty and practitioners.  After assessment of the portfolio, the applicants will be informed of a projected time line for entry into the program based on overall program and applicant capabilities and limitations. Once enrolled, it is expected that students, on average, will complete the program in 3 years on a part-time basis. All students must complete the course of study within 5 years.
