The University of Georgia is a flagship research university in the State of Georgia  with 34,000 students on the Athens campus. The University is proud of its beautiful campus in a town of 100,000 population within an easy driving distance to metropolitan Atlanta.  Athens is blessed with mild climate and low living costs.  The College of Pharmacy has about 55 faculty members and 70 graduate students.  A large percentage of graduate students are in Ph.D. programs. The College has outstanding research facilities for synthetic and drug design programs, including high resolution NMR, high resolution mass, Silicon Graphics, X-ray facilities, etc.
