VPAA--Budget Review Approvals
Budget Review needs to approve the following
(effective July 1, 2005):
- All personnels and budget amendments for VPAA and OVPI units (with the exception of personal changes--see below)
- Personnels for new benefit eligible employees when starting salary is an exception to UGA guidelines
- Personnels for reclassificaiton when salary is an exception to UGA guidelines
- Personnels with a mid-year increase or new salary supplement
- Budget amendments picking up funds from central contingency
- Budget amendments picking up funds from VPAA or OVPI
NOT need approve the following:
- Part-time or temporary employees not benefit eligible (faculty, student workers, labor clerical, etc.)
- Continuation within existing position (unless there is a change in pay outside UGA guidelines)
- Any Graduate Assistants
- Any personnels changing personal information (address, phone number, etc.)
- Salary supplement forms if the approval letter is attached to the supplement form
- Termination of salary supplements
- Personnels for new employees unless starting salary is an exception to UGA guidelines
- Redistribution of salaries
Note: Redistribution of salary required changing account numbers being paid from.
Continuation within budget position is putting someone back into a position they previously
occupied with NO account change. If both occur, please specify this.
