Office of Student Affairs


The Office of Student Affairs is responsible for:

  • Planning and conducting a variety of student-related College of Pharmacy events, including the White Coat Ceremony, Scholarship Ceremony, Pinning Ceremony, Senior Banquet, and Commencement
  • Directing activities designed to further diversity and cultural competence among students, staff, and faculty in the College of Pharmacy
  • Providing academic, career, and personal counseling to Doctor of Pharmacy students
  • Overseeing course scheduling and the registration process for the Doctor of Pharmacy program
  • Supervising activities of professional student organizations, including student travel to state, regional, and national pharmacy meetings
  • Responding to requests for information about the Doctor of Pharmacy program, including meeting with prospective students and their families
  • Administering the admission process for the Doctor of Pharmacy program, from evaluating transcripts to interviewing applicants to orienting incoming students
  • Recruiting potential students at the middle school, high school, and college levels
  • Keeping pre-pharmacy advisors at colleges around the state of Georgia updated on developments in the Doctor of Pharmacy program
  • Producing the College of Pharmacy’s Student Handbook and Bulletin
