San Luis Valley Health (SLVH) is a rural healthcare organization which serves the approximately 50,000 residents of the San Luis Valley. In addition to six clinics, we have San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center, a 49-bed hospital in Alamosa that houses the central Pharmacy. This hospital provides medical/surgical, intensive care, OB, diagnostic, oncology, surgery, and cardiology services. We also have Conejos County Hospital, a 15-bed critical access hospital in La Jara that serves the emergency and medical needs of individuals in Conejos and Costilla County. SLVH is seeking a full-time hospital Clinical Pharmacist. Our Pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5:30 pm and weekends 8:30 am to 5 pm, and our pharmacists rotate overnight call. Our pharmacists interact with patients, family and other healthcare providers to assure desired patient outcomes through safe, timely, cost-effective medication therapy. We provide daily medication profile review, verify orders, consult on dosing, provide drug information; and review and process chemotherapy orders.


  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a minimum of a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or a B.S. Pharmacy degree with comparable clinical experience required
  • Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Colorado required
  • Prior hospital experience preferred
  • Oncology experience preferred

Alamosa, Colorado with 9,000 residents is located in south-central Colorado close to Taos and the New Mexico border. Basic Functions: The Unit Based Oncology Pharmacist works under the supervision of the Pharmacy Oncology Supervisor.
