Southwest Georgia Clinical Campus
The University of Georgia (UGA) College of Pharmacy (COP) is a 2+2 program wherein Doctor of Pharmacy students spend the first two years of the program in Athens, Georgia. The remaining two years of the pharmacy curriculum are then completed in Athens or on one of three satellite campuses. The Southwest Georgia (SWGA) Clinical Campus of the UGA COP in Albany, Georgia opened its doors to the inaugural class of 2+2 program students in the Fall semester of 2012 with six P3 students. Since this time, the class size has steadily increased and currently doubled to 12 P3 students, who began their education on the SWGA campus in the Fall 2015 semester. A total of 22 P4 students are in the area completing their advanced pharmacy practice experiences.
