Annual Gifts
Since its inception in 1903, the College of Pharmacy has provided exceptional pharmacy education for thousands of students. A long tradition of generous support from alumni and friends has helped the College overcome many challenges. Yet today this support is more important than ever. Since 1998, state funding to UGA has actually decreased by more than $80 million.
Enrollment at the College has increased by 20% during the same time in an attempt to meet the rising demand for pharmacists. Given these numbers, it's easy to understand why the support of alumni and friends is more important than ever. By making an annual gift to the College, you can help offset the drastic decrease in state funds during a time of unprecedented growth and demand for services.
The annual fund is the lifeblood of the College. Your annual gift allows us to award scholarships, fund student travel to professional meetings, and recognize outstanding student achievement throughout the year. Your gift will greatly enhance the educational experience of our students, giving them access to resources that might otherwise be out of reach. Annual gifts are fully tax-deductible, and many employers will match your contribution to the College. For your convenience, you may choose to make an annual gift pledge to be paid in installments throughout the year or take advantage of our monthly credit card debiting or bank account debiting program.
